Area is an Italian progressive rock, jazz fusion, experimental group formed in 1972 by Demetrio Stratos, a highly original and talented singer of Greek family who used his voice as an instrument, and drummer Giulio Capiozzo. Area grew to be one of the most respected and important bands of the blooming 70s Italian progressive rock scene, because it was founded on a strong and virtuosic musicianship. Read more here.
