Proto-Progressive Rock bands

As it's name clearly indicates, Proto-Progressive Rock refers to the earliest form of progressive rock or progressive rock in embryonary state. The Proto-Prog bands normally were formed and released albums before prog rock had completely developed, but there are some rare Proto Prog bands from the early 70's as well, because the genre didn't expanded to all the continents simultaneously. The common elements in all these bands is that they developed one or more elements of prog, and even when not completely defined as part of the genre, they are an important stage in the evolution of progressive rock. Dream Theater: The Score so far...

The Score so far... 20th Anniversary is a documentary by progressive metal band Dream Theater that narrates the story of the band's first 20-years career. This DVD is contained in the 3 CD/2 DVD combination entitled Score and released on 29 August, 2006 in which are contained also the live album, recorded on 1 April, 2006 at Radio City Music Hall in New York city labeled A Very Special Evening with Dream Theater (the second half of the concert features a complete symphonic orchestra, dubbed The Octavarium Orchestra), the Octavarium Animation and more.
