In the wake of the 60's, a Folk revival started on both sides of the Atlantic. When folk artists turned from acoustic to electric, Folk Rock was born. Soon most connoisseur were talking of Acid Folk, Psych Folk, and Progressive Folk, all having limited differences and no particularly drawn-out limits or boundaries, but all relying on experimental or groundbreaking adventures and good musicianship, but not necessarily of an acoustic nature.
